Member Relations Specialist - Rover

Rate:  $18.00 to $22.00 Per Hour
Location:  Burns Harbor, IN

  • A Member Relations Specialist-Rover (MRS-Rover) is responsible for providing a variety of member service and products including loans.
  • Being dependable and flexible is a must as the Member Relations Specialist Rover’s primary responsibility is to be the first to assist between four branches.
  • The MRS-Rover may assume different roles when assisting.
  • Being able to rely on a Rover to report to work every day will help to ensure that high levels of member service are maintained. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED) and two or more years of experience within a financial institution.
  • Be familiar with deposit products and regulations. 
  • Must have multi-tasking ability, accuracy, and attention to detail. 
  • Will open/close accounts, receive and process loan applications, advise and furnish information on products and services. 
  • Must be well organized with excellent communication and public relations skills. 
  • The applicant should also have general usage of a PC with windows-based application experience.

Member Support Coordinator

Rate:  $18.00 to $22.00 Per Hour
Location:  Burns Harbor, IN

  • We are recruiting for an individual with a natural flair for communication and member service.
  • The Member Support Coordinator will understand the value of results, so they work to increase efficiencies in the department and boost their employees’ results.
  • The applicant must have great listening skills, a powerful memory, and an enthusiastic approach to deliver the best member service experience.
  • Must have an exceptional understanding and working knowledge of credit union/bank products, services, plastic cards, loans, policies, and procedures to be able to assist credit union members with a variety of services. 
  • Provide members with efficient service when answering incoming calls by determining their needs to personally assist them or direct the call to the appropriate department or branch.
  • Additional duties include training and coaching Member Support staff through challenging member service issues.
  • Must be able to lead team meetings and assist with Bank Secrecy Act requirements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (i.e. GED) and two or more years of experience within a financial institution, with working within a Call Center environment being a plus.
  • The applicant should also have general usage of a PC with windows-based application experience.

Who are we looking for? 

A dependable and hardworking individual with a consistent positive attitude and team player attitude. Preferably 1 to 2 years of credit union/banking experience with a high school degree or equivalent. Any applicant should also have basic mathematic skills, as well as windows-based applications, as these are frequently used for positions within the credit union.

Basic Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): 

  • Being punctual and having good attendance
  • Provide prompt quality service to all members in person and/or over the phone 
  • Process transactions using sound judgment in order to serve the members and protect the credit union from loss 
  • Maintain a working understanding of and comply with, credit union policies and procedures and applicable regulations 
  • Actively and ethically sell products, based upon the needs of the members upon listening/observing within the parameters established by the Allegius sales process 
  • Provide information for members regarding accounts, products, and services, all while maintaining confidentiality 
  • Process account maintenance as requested by members and management 
  • Research and solve member issues and complaints concerning credit union accounts and services 
  • Work cooperatively with other departments as required
